Yet it is a tonic and helps blood circulation because it contains iron.

Delicious Crete’s mountain tea contains plethora of ingredients and acts in a beneficial way to our body. Fights conditions such as Colds, upper respiratory inflammations, indigestion and gastro-intestinal disturbances. This type of herbal tea is also considered: Antispasmodic, vulnerary, antioxidant, analgesic, anxiolytic. Start boiling water and just before it boils, remove from heat, stir in the mountain tea, leave for 3-4 minutes, strain and drink. You can also add honey, cinnamon, lemon and because unlike the rest has no stimulatory action, can easily be consumed at night before bedtime.

The one and only plant that can’t be found anywhere else in the world. It makes a perfect quality “vrastari” ( as called in Greek = boiled tea) rich in in flavonoids, with varied pharmacodynamic actions such as stimulation of cardiac function, decreasing the pressure, against the fragility of capillaries. It is a diuretic, it protects from frostbite, while in essential oil of isolated 34  various substances , mainly  has  anti-microbial medicinal properties. Last, studies have shown that malotira helps fight Alzheimer’s disease. Moreover it stimulates the nervous system and so it is advantageous to the public of tea because it does not cause insomnia. The malotira tea acts as anti-inflammatory, bacteriostatic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, diaphoretic, tonic.  Used as a decoction with a cinnamon stick and a little honey we have an excellent emollient and antiseptic cough.
